Conceptualised as a global conversation, Deep Dialogues are shaped around key themes that influence the higher education around the globe. These focussed discussions will be managed by British Council and co-curated with UK and overseas sector experts in the field.
Deep Dialogues are designed to meet the needs of overseas partners who visit the UK to discuss and connect with stakeholders around a specific theme. Therefore, these events are a mix of discussions, meetings, visits and focussed sessions that align with the overseas and UK partners’ preferred themes.
These events are meant to be inclusive, capturing the higher education landscape within the UK and global contexts.
These conversations aim to complement and feed into larger events such as Going Global Conference, the Education World Forum and others.
• October 2023 Deep Dialogues
On October 18 and 19, 2023, the British Council's Deep Dialogues 2023 event titled ‘Building Resilient Futures: Ensuring Inclusive and Sustainable Quality in Higher Education’ was organised in London, UK in partnerships with UK QAA and Advance HE.
Delegates from ten countries, including Armenia, were in London to discuss resilience, inclusion, and quality assurance in higher education with peers in the UK.
From Armenia, we supported attendance of the National Centre for Professional Education and Quality Assurance Foundation Director, Mr Ruben Topchyan, and Head of the Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division at (ANQA), Varduhi Gyulazyan’s attendance in the event.
During the event, the representatives engaged in a mix of discussions, meetings, visits and focussed sessions shaped around key themes that influence the higher education around the globe and also had the opportunity to share their country’s HE context and their experience in reforming the sector with the overseas and UK partners’.
