We are pleased to announce that Jeremy Harmer during his visit to Armenia is going to deliver a music show entitled ‘Shakespeare (and other folks)’ in celebration of British Council Armenia’s 15th Anniversary.
‘The man that hath no music in himself….is fit for treasons’ says Lorenzo to his sweetheart in The Merchant of Venice. There is music all over Shakespeare plays – snatches of popular songs, fully written lyrics, sad, funny bawdy and, well – anything.
In his one-man show singer-songwriter Jeremy Harmer will sing (and talk about) various Shakespeare songs (and others) and show how they are connected to a lively folk music tradition that continues, vibrantly, to this day.
